Hi

I was wondering if you could help me identify this bike, I think it is from the 60’s/70’s. It used to be my father’s but now I ride it as a winter training bike. It has obviously had some upgrades but the majority is original as far as I know. I have attached a link to some pictures of the frame and logo’s.

· I have not been able to identify a serial number on it, have looked on the back of the seat post.
· It has Roma (not Legnano though) written all over it and the only reference I can find to that is this Legnano, the geometry and shape (particularly the forks) are similar but there seems to be some differences plus I cannot find and logo’s that match the ones on this bike.
· It has a wide range of components on it; Campag shifters, Dura-Ace rear derailleur, Spidel crank........?

Any help or direction you can provide will be most appreciated!

Thanks

Will

The frame does look like a 70's frame. It also looks like it was originally blue but repainted white. I have looked and asked about a bike called Roma from that time period and no one can find anything. My guess is that it was probably a different brand of bicycle but was repainted and re-badged. It resembles a number of lugged frames from the late 1970's, with the clamp on cable guides and the lack of water cage bosses.

You might look on the under side of the bottom bracket for a serial number. A lot of the English manufacturers put them there.
