I have a bicycle that I need help in identifying. The identifying
manufacturer on the bicycle is "Grants", a company I've never heard
of. It looks identical to a Schwinn Stingray and has "Green Draggin"
on the chain gaurd. It is a single speed bike with a "Drag Brake"
where the shifter was on the Stingray. It has original raised letter
tires and a Cheetah slick on the rear. Banana seat and sissy bar a la
Schwinn Stingray. It also appears to have a solid frame like Schwinn
bicycles but I can't prove that. Feels real heavy though. Can someone
help in identifying what year this bike may have been produced, how
much it may be worth and when Grants bicycles went out of business.
The bike is in fantastic shape for what I believe may be a mid
seventies example. The paint held up incredibly well. I see absolutely
no reference to Grants bicycle company at all on the web!!!!! Any help
here would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff Foglietta

I'm not sure but Grant's was a chain store in the US like Kmart.
