I have a 7 speed mountain bike from the early 90s which I am upgrading a bit. One thing I am upgrading is the tires to 1.75 touring tires. The problem is the rims are too wide, they say 1.75, but I am guessing that is their width, not the desired tired width.
It is my impression that I need a set of 26x1.5 rims for my bike. Here is the catch, I know there are two types of cassettes. I don't know which one I have, but I do know that I have the Hyperglide CS-HG50 7-speed:
Can someone help me understand what exactly I am looking for in new wheels?
