Need Vids And Verifiable News Stories Of Dangers Of Cycling Too Close To Curb.

Since my first thread was hijacked, partially my fault, and since it was mis-titled views instead of vids, and view points were what I got instead of vids, I thought I'd make a new thread that will hopefully accomplish what I originally sought to accomplish.

So, if you have any vids or news stories or police or accident reports about the danger of being too close to a curb put them here please. Let's leave discussion to other threads.

Also, could any of you provide the following?

I would like a vid of someone pulling a child trailer while riding as close to the curb as is practicable, about one or two feet off it max that is, on a busy road where drivers get close. The busiest closest driving road they can find and tolerate. I would also like to interview this person over speaker phone while you video tape the conversation. This would be VERY helpful.

DONT HAVE A CHILD IN THE TRAILER! I THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE OBVIOUS WHEN I POSTED THIS IN THE OTHER THREAD.

Cycling that close to the edge, in other words as close to the edge as is practicable according to the state of Idaho, can get you killed EASILY. There is NO room to dodge dangerous traffic.

I sent a very long email entitled "Fw: denial of right to travel. (fixed)(now added vids)(now with even more vid evidence)" to the ACLU and the Rutherford Institute. I was wondering if you could get people to call them and tell them to pursue the case. It might get their attention and hopefully get this mess fixed.

I looked around the internet and couldn't not find one video (other than what you posted) or news article about the dangers or riding within 4 feet of the curb pulling a trailer. I am going to borrow my friends kid trailer and his son and get him to ride down the street pulling his child in the trailer while being 4 feet from the curb and I will upload the vids.

Um. The idea was to NOT HAVE A CHILD IN THE TRAILER! And pull it one or two feet max off the curb to show the danger of close passing cars and having no room to dodge.

With the way the laws are now and the way people act there is no way in hell your friend should be pulling that child anywhere other than a park.

While it could be made safe to do it on the road cop and motorists would much rather just see you dead.

And none of the vids involve any sort of trailer.

Hmm I guess it would be a little safer without the child, but then you are not really doing the experiment properly.
See the child adds some weight to trailer, and without little Ryan in the trailer you are not really going to get the same results.
If I did it without Ryan and it was safe then my friend tried it with the kid and it could not be safe!
I guess I could add some bricks that are the same weight and it would be kind of the same, but I'm not really happy about that I take my experiments seriously.
