new bike need info on disc brakes

Hi,

I have been trying to do a search on this topic but no matter what I put in, the search comes up empty so if I am asking an often asked question, I apologize.

I just bought a moderately priced mountain bike withe disc brakes. They are Tekpro brand. I cannot find any info on the web regarding either this brand or generic info on proper adjustment, pad replacement etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't know if this is important but the bike is a Motobecane 600DS.
