Better ways to get low gears than a 12x34, but what do I know? Why not a compact or triple crankset since you were dropping the $$?

Looks like you've got a heck of a hill climber for a double. I don't think I'd want to ride behind you. His cadence is 90, no 70, no 120, wait...

Yeah...I'm putting used parts on this set up and spent about 300 bucks for everything. I think I can save up some cash rather than buying a $519.00 ultegra triple upgrade kit.
