New Chain Ring...In Need of Info Regarding Compatibility

I've got a 10 speed double Bontrager Race Lite crankset running a 53/39. My 53 ring was bent and so for the last few months I've "borrowed" a ring off a mate's bike (he hasn't ridden for 5 months...hopefully he hasn't noticed the lack of a big chainring). Now that I've got a spot of cash floating around, I'm looking at actually replacing it. Question for me is will a Ultegra 9 speed 53 tooth ring work? Performance has those for 30 bucks. Also, would it be worth 4 times as much to get a DA 7800 ring?

I'd get the Ultegra. It saves you a lot of money and will work well.
