Hi all,

I'm about to put pen to paper on a new Giant OCR1.

I need some advise from my fellow riders.

I weigh a tick under under 120kg at the moment and was wandering if this will cause any issues with the bike.

I've decided to purchase a new bike to shed the kilos and get back to around 95kg.

Any help would be appreicated.

Cheers,

I suggest a Steel Frame Mountain Bike with at least 36 spoke rims and heavy duty hubs. I have recently put a bit back on and am setting up a 24" steel frame K-Mart Huffy MTB with 26" wheels, etc.

I don't now about Giant, but Felt has a max gross weight (bike+rider+load) for all their bikes:
Racing and Tri Bikes, 105kg
Mountain Bikes and Adult BMX, 125kg.
