A little about me, 44yrs old,out of shape, purchased a entry level giant. 80's-90's I was a pro bmx and pro motocross racer. Was in perfect shape 5'8 @145lbs now fast forward 25yrs I'm 190lbs. I'm tired and motivated!! I really enjoyed cycling before and I went on my first ride today. Rode 2miles and my legs are rubber,my heart took 1/2 hr to relax. Being a x pro athlete I tend to have a compulsive behavior on over doing things lol. But I want to make a life change and do this correct. So if any one reads this all I have is a bike, I will get shoes and cleats when warmer, don't think I'll need a kit until I can ride 10-15miles.
So I'm asking what should my goals be? I'm thinking 10miles a week adding 10 a week every month change. What do you think? Thanks and nice to hear from you!
