  1. A Gift to Yourself - condensed from Topper's post of 6/02

[Topper toppertwo.tripod.comtoppertwo.tripod.com admits it took a while to train herself to do this, but the
    time/cleanup rewards were substantial.]

GOLDEN RULE: Each & Every time upon entering the kitchen – for anything more than a simple beverage
    – make a dishpan (loaf pan for less than a 'meal'😉 of hot, soapy water to sit in the sink. Not to be
confused with "clean up as you go", an active versus the (mostly) passive routine described here.

This provides for instant handwashing and a 'soak' for utensils large and, especially, small.
Deposit utensils/tools in pan immediately after use as you go, and after a brief - 5 min.? - soak
(NO WASHING needed), rinse and leave to dry: an ongoing process taking only a few seconds here &
there while waiting for something to heat/cool/etc. By the time you have finished prep, cleanup is
also finished, and you can hardly remember doing it. This leaves the loathsome DW loading &
unloading for dishes alone (and the whisk you want to use is not sitting in DW dirty, waiting for
the next load to be run).

    E.P.
