newbie looking at bikes to buy in France

Going away to france this year (paris area) and wondering where to buy bikes (preferably road bikes), i've heard of Decathlon what are there's like?

Going away to france this year (paris area) and wondering where to buy bikes (preferably road bikes), i've heard of Decathlon what are there's like?

My guess is that any new bikes can be had in the US. I wonder if they have any of those old Peugeots. They might have some interesting commuting bikes with enclosed chains, that you don't see in the US.
