U.S. National Team member Taylor Phinney rode to a world title on Thursday in the time trial at the UCI Junior Road World Championships in Aguascalientes, Mexico to cap off a solid day for Americans that also saw Jerika Hutchinson win the bronze medal in the women's race. Phinney clocked a time of 37:28.10 over the 28-kilometer course to beat silver medalist John Degenkolb of Germany by 24 seconds, while Hutchinson was just 26 seconds off the pace of world champion Josephine Tomic of Australia.
