I have a cheap Wal-Mart bike, I know, dont flame me, but thats all my $$$ flow allows me for now.
But it has front suspension (if thats what you want to call it) What the problem is that I went on a
mud ride, so the forks were full of water and some other fun stuff. So wehn I got home, I took them
apart and cleaned/regreased everything and reassembled. I rode the bie fine with no prblems for
about a weekend, put the bike up and now they feel like they aer solid. I have _NO_ travel int he
front. I didnt travel in water or anythng that weekend so whyd they do this?
My next question it that when i put on my brakes (Avid 1D damn things are wroth more than my bike)
the fork flexes, it moves towards me a bit, like somehings loose inside, the things inside the fork
that slide up and down that sit on top of the springs seem to fit snugly, but it still has play.
Also I have tightend the bolts holding the whole thing together and that got rid of soem but not
all. And i cant tighten anymore or I thing I will put too much pressure inthere. Other than getting
a new fork/bike what do you think I could do to get a little play out of these things? And get my 1"
of travel bakc.
