I am considering buying my wife a Nishiki Hill Razor 24 18 speed Mountain Bike. It's used for $65.....is this a decent deal if the bike is in good shape? I've heard this is a high quality brand. Thanks

Nishiki made some decent bikes. An 18s MTB would probably be early 90s or so. Almost certainly a cromolly steel frame.

$65 is probably reasonable if the bike doesn't need extra work or parts other than maybe new tires/tubes, chain, or saddle. Also no rust. It is not a good deal if it has to go to the shop for 100+ dollars of parts/labor.

It's a 24" rigid kid's bike from the late 90's, actually spelled Razer.

Cost about $220 new. I'd pay no more than $50 if everything is in working order.

Based on Scottys more specific information, I'd have to agree that $50 or less sounds right. I didn't realize that the bike in question was a lower-end kids model.
