Tafi will not be able to participate in the upcoming Tour of
Flanders World Cup race, an event he won with a stunning
late solo attack in 2002. Although he tried to ride today,
he is still bothered by a painful cyst that also caused a
high fever, which also cancelled his participation in the
recent E3 Harelbeke. Tafi now hopes to be ready for the race
he won in 1999, Paris-Roubaix.
