I am the proud owner of a 12+ year old Nobilette SLX road frame. The frame has served me VERY well
in those years but four of them were spent commuting 30 miles a day even through the worst of
Boston's winter weather.

Needless to say after many many miles the frame could use a repaint and some TLC on the BB which is
beginning to show some signs of rust. I would like to know if Mark Nobilette does frame refurbishing
and if so I would love a good e-mail address for him. I have tried e-mail to no avail at
[email protected].

Thanks!

That means it was built at 220 Felch Street in Ann Arbor where I used to work (11 years ago, sadly
the store is out of business now, although Mark had moved away by then). That bike might have been
painted by Mark or maybe by Rob Fairman. Does your bike have the old rounded decals
(http://www.nobilettecycles.com/pics/frame.JPG) or the newer ones
(http://www.nobilettecycles.com/pics/curr3.JPG)? I think he changed them around that time, I heard
due to request of Colorado Cyclist who handled his frames for a while.

You might try calling a Nobilette dealer. Such as http://www.vecchios.com/

Not to say anything bad about his paint work but I would probably call Mark for a decal set and send
the bike to a specialist painter such as JB if you want the rust handled meticulously.

I was at the VeloExpo last weekend and Nobilette had a small both. He had a couple of frames there,
one with stunning lug and detail work. The paint was also outstanding.. should have guessed it was
Rainbow doing the work! They are expensive but worth every penny IMO.
