hi, any opinions on Nokon cables from those of you who have tried
them? i know they're not cheap, but if worth the money i don't mind.
just looking for opinions of advantages/disadvantages? probably not
necessary for training, but what about on a race bike? thanks~!

that's kind of what i am gathering, lot's of trick and little benefit!
how much lighter could a set of cables possibly be? anyone think

The pain in installing is not from having to thread the segments. They come pre-assembled on the liners. The problem is modification to the bike to accept the liner. But once installed, the performance is fantastic. Shifting is faster and more solid. Braking is much better, especially on the rear.
I covered mine with thin, clear heatshrink tubing, shrunk after the bends were made. I coated the segments with petroleum jelly to prevent corrosion.
