Is it possible to get a non-shock front for my Bontrager Privateer? I know they were offered without it, and I'd like to get a lightweight non-shock front fork. I weight 140lbs, and I can get dampening from adjusting tire pressure.

Sure you can but it is sorta tricky. The fork that is on the bike now needs to be measured. You need to know the axle to crown measurement. Try to measure your fork from where the center of the axle would be and up to the fork crown race seat. The fork crown race seat is where the race is that is pressed onto the fork. You want to get a rigid fork that has the same axle to crown measurement. If you buy one that is shorter it will increase the head tube angle to long it will decrease the head tube angle. Do not worry too much about the fork offset because they will be simular.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that you need to make sure that you get one with the same steer size as in the steer being either 1 1/8" or 1". I think that is all.
