Nostalgic Helmet

Are you talking about "hairnet" strap helmets or early hardshell helmets?

I've seen (and sold) hairnets on eBay. People collect them and wear them at vintage bike rallies and rides. Haven't seen the early hardshell (and softshell with fabric cover) helmets, though. For the most part they were pretty ugly, uncomfortable, and they didn't sit on the head very well. Also, after the covers wore out or got lost, the softshell helmets probably went the way of 20-year-old styrofoam coolers.

I think it might be the hairnet type. They look similar to what we wear today, but have minimal coverage. Thanks for the info. I'll check out E-Bay.
