Of course, I wasn't anywhere near the finish of the marathon, so
didn't find out about the winners until recently. The overall
winner was Bassirima Soro (of Tucson), who outsprinted Paul
Vail for the win, 2:22 I think. But what was interesting is
that around the middle of the race Bassirima was having shoe
problems, so he threw them off, and ran the last half of the
marathon barefooted! The local news showed the fighting sprint
to the finish, what a race! #3 finisher was almost 10 mins later.
