Anyone know anything about this:

Looks an awful lot like a 'Kuoto Ksano' frameset which is marketed out of Italy but, like most carbon frames including Kestrel's, is manufactured in Taiwan. I had no idea though that Merida were putting their name on stuff like that. It's interesting how much 'exotic' stuff comes out of Taiwan with designer labels - a carbon DOLAN will cost you a bundle .... or you can buy the exact same frame without the stickers for a fraction of the price as an Adavanced Composite. Your verrry expensive Kestrel is only a badged Martec which costs not a lot more than a pizza and a Coke from PedalForce in the US. Up until last year your whizzo Airborne titanium was out of Beijing and was identical to a Wheeler ....... the list goes on, definitely not just car manufacturers that are into badge engineering. But what price the badges ?
