  1. My doc gave me a script for Omacor
    (http://www.omacorrx.com/section2/2-3.html?kwcid_se=G?kw=omacor?cr=7) and
told me I could to try it instead of the over-the-counter fish oils. His
concern was the whole mercury ingestion/purity of 10g of commercial oils.
His ulterior motive was probably the cash behind the pharmaceutical
industry. Anyway, has anyone tried these, or have any thoughts?

Wow. Really. Wow. Just when I think nothing the medicopharmacautical
industry does would make me say "wow" anymore, wow.

It's bad enough they prescribe the much more expensive, less safe, no more
effective Plavix instead of the cheap, safer, more effective aspirin; the
much more expensive, much less safe, no more effective statin drugs instead
of the cheaper, much more safe, as effective Chinese red yeast rice; but
they now actually prescibe pharmaceutical fish oil!

    Wow.

You do what you want, John. Me? I would fire the doctor and take a good
    brand name over-the-counter fish oil.

    David
