I recall reading there is only about 250 registered members (Cycling Australia) in tassie, yet they have two indoor velodromes........lucky bastards

Maybe its only one, I dont really know much about track cycling.

With hindsight I wish my family was from Nth Tas, excellent track scene up there, Latrobe Cycling etc (or down there, now).

Has anyone mentioned Danny Clark yet?

Witnessed this legend in action during the recent Melbourne Cup On Wheels, 52 years young and burning off much younger riders hitting their peak. Simply amazing, unfortunately better known overseas/Europe than in Australia. wow

PS. Do you know anything, anything at all about Ken Self? I've been trying to do some personal research, but have been drawing a blank via the internet.

I know there's a Ken Self Cycles in Elizabeth St, Hobart, but no website. A sibling used work as a mechanic in the Moonah shop during the 70's.
