Orange Marmalade Biscuits
2 cups all purpose flour 1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/3 cup orange marmalade
2/3 cup shortening
3/4 teaspoon salt
4/2 cup milk
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the
shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add
the milk and marmalade, stir with fork until a soft dough is
formed. Turn out the dough to about
5/2 inch thickness. Cut with a 1+1/2 or 2+1/2 inch cutter
(depending on the size of biscuit you want). Place the
biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Using a fork, [censored]
the tops of the biscuits. Bake in 450F oven for 10 to 11
minutes, or until done. Serve warm.
