Hey out there, is it true that all road bike frames that Orbea produce are hand made in Spain, or are some manufactured overseas. Cheers Terry:eek:

Only going on what I see on the Tour De France coverage on TV....
I would imagine Orbea is NOT made in Spain but rather somewhere in the Basque region..they might take offence at being called a Spanish brand.
The correct answer will be supplied by somebody from that part of the world.

and a lot of Basques get narked if you say they are not spanish .

Orbea , BH , Conor are made in Spain , though not all are hand made , the BH factory at vitoria is very modern and huge and now conor are moving into road bikes after years of making some quite adequite mtb frames .
as for kuips : this is a newcomer to the market from the accessories group spuik and I have no idea where it´s made or who by .

all the top brands hand make their upper leval frames in spain ( did I mention mendiz / kenium in the list above ? )

just check out their websites but it helps to speak spanish for some of them - computer translations are weird .

I don´t need that service , thank you - though trying to discribe tech stuff over the phone can be interesting .

forgot to mention Monty : more famous for trials and bmx bikes they have now moved into the mtb market - worth a look .

should mention the that BH always seems to undercut the prices of similar products here in spain while providing a product as good , if not better , than the competition but they are not a " sexy " brand ( eg ali frame carbon fork campy mirage 9 with fsa cranks 850 € , looks real nice )
