I've got mixed feelings about it. And so do people I hear on the
radio. I agree we have a great mix of cuisine here, but all I'm
hearing about is the venue, and politicians yapping BS. IMO, a
lakefront olympic village is crazy. We've got enough congestion

I was hoping our chances would be tanked. I thought for sure that the
infamous video of the cop beating up the gal bartender would put the
kibbosh on our chances...

I SINCERELY hope we do not host these Olympics. This city STINKS of
corruption and all of Daley's shyster grifting cronies will be
circling around the money pile like flies around the pig manure. Think
Millenium Park was an egregrious example of "cost over - run"? Just
you wait...even if we don't get the games, tens or even scores of
millions of taxpayer dough will spent on "planning", "committees",
etc...

Some gal on WLS this morning said it well: "I get tired of hearing
over and over again 'Chicago is SO beautiful now'. Of COURSE it
should be beautiful - MY taxes PAID for it...!!!".

There's two more years before the decision is made. Hopefully they'll
look at the murder rate.
