Thunderbird some useful features over Outlook express for emails but I
can't find the settings I want for newsgroups. I couldn't find what I
wanted under Mozilla help.
Outlook has the feature that will hide read messages but keep the unread
messages displayed in tree order.
The equivalent in Thunderbird is to View Threads Unread. But it displays
in date order and loses the tree which makes long threads (such as
"Are cyclist allowed to race...") very difficult to follow. To keep tree
order it seems to want to make all messages visible.
Can Thunderbird keep tree order yet hide the read messages; if so what
combination of buttons should I be using?
