Right you are DeVon! But does it really matter all that much how much garbage is posted to a thread
clearly labeled OT? If you are only interested in reading relevant recumbent topics, then just never
open anything under a thread labeled OT. But I am really going to bite my tongue too when it comes
to posting to a thread that is on topic on recumbents. The only thing that will set me off like a
maniac is if
Mr. Sherman horns in on such a thread with his usual political inanities. Everyone else gets a free
pass from me from now on. But let us have our OT fun and games on threads clearly so labeled.
What is the harm of that? The fact is there is a considerable number of us here on this
newsgroup who clearly enjoy that.

Some of these people have been here way too long and it is not a bad idea if they want to leave. I
think we all wear out our welcome rather quickly and I would suggest that about two years on any
newsgroup is long enough for anyone. There is a considerable amount of mindless chit chat on ARBR
between some of the regular posters and I submit that is much more annoying than any political rants
from us OT'ers.

Everything you said was intelligent and to the point. We need more posters like you and less like
Mr. Sherman. This OT thread is really about housekeeping on ARBR and as you can so clearly see there
is a variety of opinions even about that. The exchange of information on the technical aspects of
recumbent cycling is what this newsgroup is mainly about, but that gets mighty tiresome after awhile
and I think a bit of OT posting on those threads clearly so labeled is an added attraction to ARBR
and should be enjoyed as such rather than excoriated.
