  1. How clever is Your Right Foot? This is so funny that it will boggle
your mind. And you will keep trying at least 5 more times to see if
you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It is 'pre-programmed' in
    your brain.

    1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they will think you are STUPID) and
while sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and
    make clockwise circles.

    2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
    right hand.

    Your foot will change direction.

I told you so, And there's nothing you can do about it!

You and I both know how stupid this is, but before the day is done you
are going to try it if you have not already done so!

    Does anyone know why? ;o)

I can do it without the foot changing direction - the key is to focus on
the foot movement and let the hand movement become autonomic.

Attenuation is a key point when training athletes. They can only focus
on one thing at a time. If you start turning the foot clockwise and then
draw the number '6' in a conventional manner you are drawing it
counter-clockwise. Foot changes to that direction because your focus has
    changed.

Put another way. Draw the six backwards so that your movement is
clockwise and the foot will not change.
