water they sell just doesn't cut it. On the golf course, $3

There's only a few US breweries that I like, Stone and...[censored], can't
remember the company name but I like their Obsidian....Brewery out of
Oregon. Then there's English beer....ooooohhhhhhh donut!

I guess that's kinda like the "velodrome riding" of the motorized
world.

And yeah, I agree that on those rare occasions when the drive itself
is the end goal, it can be a blast. Some examples that come to mind -
driving the Alfa with the top down up and down a windy mountain road,
or crawling over rocks in the Jeep.

But let's face it, that kind of driving makes up about 0.1% of the
total. The rest is normally of the "from here to work and back" or
"from here to the store and back" variety. And when you can replace
THOSE miles with a bike ride, you win.

Yeah, today I saw a bike with drop bars locked up to a no parking sign,
from a distance I could see it only had one brake lever so I thought to
myself, "hey, it might be a fixie, I'll cruise in for a closer look to
check out the setup". But as I got closer it was apparent that it was
owned by someone who stopped Fred Flintstone style because it had
derailers and the one brake lever on the POS wasn't even attached to a
brake.

I don't know, I had a pint+ of Fuller's Pale Ale last night that was some
mighty fine drink. Fuller and Young's in London are hard to beat though
Stone comes pretty close to parallel.
