Hey, I'm a huge King fan too -- just been rereading some of his
classics and "The Mist" was one of them. I don't want to ruin the
movie for anyone so I'll just say that I've never looked at grocery
stores the same way...

#1, The Stand 🙂 Firestarter. Cujo - who doesn't love a big slobbery rabid
dog? LOL Gerald's Game. Too many short stories to mention (The Mist among
them).

I read it on the plane coming home last month. Very creepy, and I
hope the movie does it justice (though I have my doubts).

King is one of the screen writers on The Mist so he probably tried to keep
it as true to the story as possible.

My daughter is reading Pet Sematary right now 😉 It's funny because the electricity
went out only in her room. She completely freaked.

Christine was excellent, both as a book and a movie. They're making a movie of From a
Buick 8 now.

The Stand was likely one of the best mini-series ever I think. Laura San Giacomo was
a very good choice for Nadine, I think...but I really loved Gary Sinise being Stu.
Perfect casting, if you ask me. The only one I had reservations about, really, was
Jamey Sheridan (who played Randall Flagg)...and that's because I'd developed a
picture in my mind of Randall Flagg after all the times he's popped up in the King
books, and this guy wasn't it. 😉

The only reason I have one is because my parents are elderly and in case of
emergency I need to be able to be reached. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. I
don't feel it necessary to constantly talk on the phone.
