Overuse of asthma medication

For those of us who have asthma and may rely on albuterol quite a bit, especially while riding, there is a new warning out that overuse of albuterol can counteract the use of other asthma medications, or even backfire. In other words, if you are taking steroid inhalers such as Advair or Flovent, be very leery about relying too heavily on albuterol. For further information, go to the following URL:

thanks for the post. I don't need it much so thats good. I hope I don't need it at all now.

No problem. I think I will not use it for a good solid month, then slowly take my rescue inhaler with me just in case. It is distressing to see how many people, cyclists or non cyclists, who use only albuterol for their asthma, though.

it's all I used as I needed so little. plus I could not afford advair most of the time.
