  1. i read somewhere that his regime consists of running more miles every day or two. he also is being
    trained by a former marathon champ whose name i don't remember. so probably is true traing regime is
    a bit more complicated. i hope he gets to the starting line. he could injure himself so badly in
    training that he might not even be able to start out. ...thehick

    but seriously, i think he'll finish. no guesstimates about time.

    The NYRRC hooked him up initially with Bob Glover. But my gf (who takes his speed workout
    sessions) told me he railed about his ability, sincerity and cause. So I don't know if Bob is
    still coaching him.

    When I was young and inexperienced I designed (and thankfully never used) a training program that
    would increase miles each day. I had a week where I'd run a 15, 16, 17, 18 or something like that.
    Now I can laugh but back then I thought it would work.

    Every year celebreties run the NYC marathon and every year they finish in the area of 5 hours. I've
    got to imagine that this just another thing they can knock off their list of things to do and not a
    true interest.
