  1. I was wondering if anyone could help me, I'm after a cycle computer that can record data on a ride and then play it back and compare it with the next time you do the same ride. Basically if you do a set ride each time you ride the computer can show you if you are going faster or slower than at that point last time you rode. I don't wont averages, I want realtime speed comparison e.g. if you have say a 20 km ride up and down hills, I want to be able to look at my computer while going up a hill and see I'm doing 13km/h but yesterday at this point in the ride I was doing 14km/h.
I'm probably not explaining this very well, but if you are family with Mario cart on the nintendo it's like the ghost you can race against in time trials. Basically you start by doing a lap as fast as you can and then at the start of the second lap a ghost of you appears and races you using your speed from the previous lap.
Does such a thing exist, and if not why not, I reckon it would be the ultimate in motivation to be able to race yourself in realtime everytime you rode a set course.
If you can help please let me know
    Thanks

  2. Yes, such a thing does exist, although its proper name escapes me. It might be Powertap...there was a model that some professionals rode with during races, although that one is probably on the expensive side.
