I am a fourth year medical student attending University of Aberdeen, and I
am currently researching possible topics and hospitals for my elective
scheduled for Jan 2005.
Having just completed an enjoyable 5 week block in paediatrics, I am now
considering possible paediatric topics for the project, perhaps focussing on
cardiology and surgical management of congential heart defects.
My reason for posting is to ask for any suggestions regarding a topic in
current climate of paediatric cardiac surgery (I recently stumbled across an
assessment of the effectiveness of cardiac catheterisation in children, but
am unaware of any other interventions which are comparable to this).
Any ideas would be extremely well-received!
