Pain behind Knee

I've been experiencing this pain behind my right knee for about two
months. Originally I thought that it might be a hamstring issue, but
it seems to be more directly beind the knee instead of traveling up
the thigh. With rest it hasn't gotten better after about two months.
I have not lost significant flexiblity or ability to move, although
occasionally it is stiffer in the morning than the left leg. Activity
does not cause it to hurt more. Has anyone ever experienced anything
like this, and does it sound like a hamstring injury or is it
something else and what can I do to rehab it properly. Any advice is
great as I'd like to be active again as soon as possible. Thanks.

I had a similar problem on my left knee. Could run fine for about 2.5-3
miles and then the pain would hit my knee and I had to walk back home.
The funny thing was when I stopped running for about 5min, the pain
went away....

I finally went to see a sports doctor who said it was Jumpers Knee. MRI
revealed a Acute Synovitis... and I have been going to a PT for about 6
weeks now. He is focussing on strengthening the quads and hams...I
really hope it works...
