Pain & swelling weeks after anesthesia ???

Yeah, "sore vein," but that says nothing about exactly
what this post-anesthetic sore-vein syndrome actually is;
and what I have is more than a sore vein, it's also
swollen and hard three weeks later. Anyone heard of this?

Sound like a thrombophlebitis, an inflamed blood clot in
the vein where the IV was inserted. It's annoying and
painful, but not serious. It should resolve in a matter of
days to weeks.
