Climbed Larg Hill, Lamachan & Curlywee from Bruce's Stone on Sunday. Gloriously sunny all morning, bitterly cold on tops. Left the car park at 7:15 & didn't see a single person for 5 hours, till I was back down on the forest road heading towards the car. North Lakes hills clearly visible & could make out the north coast of Ireland through the haze.
I was trying out a newly purchased pair of Paramo Cascada trousers. Most impressed. They coped equally well with the freezing wind on top & the strong midday sun on the sheltered road below. Need to try them out in a downpour obviously, but it's looking like (a lot of) money well spent. --
