Is it that beautiful combination of both romance & love? Is that what
excites me on each of my vacations? Maybe...
No wait, it must be the wonderful food & wines, im ruled by my stomach
afterall. mmmm, maybe. Oh I know it must be that feeling I get when I
walk down into the Champs Ellysees...
Im not sure. Will I ever know?
So your off to Paris and looking for those last minute pointers that
make all the difference...
Okay, well for starters theres something that I really recommend. Make
a list of everything you'd like to see before you leave. This way you
wont be sat on the plane ride home, wondering what the Arc de Triomphe
looks like!
Oh yeah its probabily worth making hotel reservations before you leave
(depending on what time of year it is). I remember the first time I
went, I stupidly didn't make hotel reservations and ended up shelling
out over 300 euros for my first night. To be fair the hotel was nice,
but still, it really cut into my Champs Ellysees spending money.
Dont suddenly panick if you haven't made reservations. It really
depends on what time of year your going. Plus, if you do want to make
reservations and dont know a good place, I've left a link to the place
I've always used sinse my first bad experience.

Owing to its location, Paris has a temperate, oceanic climate; over

The famous Paris Avenue 'the Champs Elysees' must also receive a
visit; it's where you will find all the top class hotels, shops and
restaurants. This avenue may be select but it attracts large numbers
of visitors daily; it is also where most of the five star hotels are
situated but thankfully hotels tend to be cheaper once you move away
from the city center.
The city's famous museum, the Louvre is huge and worth a visit if you
have the time; with almost a third of a million exhibits, you will not
be able to see everything in one trip. On a Paris short stay vacation
it would be easy to spend entire weekend here; many of the world's art
collections are housed here, which includes the renowned 'Mona Lisa'.
What makes Paris special is the number of artists that have been
attracted to this great capital; chances are that you will have the
opportunity to see a number of famous paintings whilst you're
visiting.
The Arc de Triomphe another famous landmark was built by Napoleon in
1806; the names of his generals engraved upon it to honor them and his
troops. It also features an observatory to take in surrounding views;
in particular those obtained along the lanes that lead from it.
Certainly it is not fair to believe that these are the only places in
the city worth visiting; but these should certainly not to be missed
because many offer regular guided tours, some at little or no charge
at all. You should only ever consider a short stay in Paris as a
sample of what is on offer; a longer break here will be necessary if
you really want to experience everything this wonderful city has to
offer.
