Participation rate seems low

I am have been on many forums. I enjoy this one. But, it seems that it takes several days for anyone to post anything new. Is there something you can do to solicit more participants? I know most of you guys are aussies on teh other side of the world from me. But, maybe you can try to reach the NA world more? Maybe try to get your name out by supporting some races?

I would like to see more people here. I think it is a great forum, but could be reaching more people and make it more interesting.

Also, you might consider opening this up to other sports that include cycling to provide a forum to discuss multisport participants. (I know, I will shut up, now.)

It's winter time here in the Southern Hemisphere, so the cycling season's a bit quiet now (@ least here in SA). I'm sure that it will start picking up from next month onwards, when the guys start training again.
Maybe you can throw in a good word for us @ your local club? Get some of your buddies from the States to join us?

Its low because we only get about 600-1200 page views per day. Most of the more popular forums have been around for several years and have built up their following over that time. However I only registered this domain last Aug, so its quite new really.

If you want me to add a forum for triathlon or something else, simply send me a 'title' and a 'description' and i'll add it to the Special Interest section :)

cheers

Dont forget you can add a link to this forum in your sig whenever you post on other forums. ;D

It may be queit, but it's still the best damn BB in the world.

Seriously now, as VO2 has said, it's winter in SA right now, and most of the BB members are from SA. Give it a month or so and it should pick up again.

But feel free to advertise this site to your friends.

Maybe a "Multisport" link would be good?  That way we can include anyone who uses cycling as part of their sport regardless of triathlon or duathalon or pentathlon or whatever.

It would be nice to see how many posters here are multisporters and to be able to discuss those training, equipment, and racing topics specific to multisport.

*looking forward to all you SA guys coming out of hibernation* :)

Hi,

First forum page I've ever subsribed to !

Ex Croweater (SA for you Septic Tanks) but been in the West for some 4 years now.

Been racing in Vet (oops Masters) cat. for last few years & love it. Ride a pretty average Wheeler 7100 with Ultegra. Blown out the back on a hilly course last Sunday.

Just when you are getting OK though, Le Tour starts and shows how very average you are.
But it has been great. How good was The Freckle on stage 16.

Just made a booking to head to Adelaide for the TDU in 2003 so hope to meet this famous VO2, if I can keep up.

Speaking of keeping up...keep up the good work. I'm sure I can come up with a few questions for you wizards to answer.

What's a Croweater? ???

Yep, true words

I expected more of him in the race for the Green jersey, tho.

What makes you think I'll be flying over to Oz and riding the TdU next year? Unless you want me to come over and drive the team car? ;D

Enjoy!

Vo2;

A Croweater is what we refer to people from South Australia as. Which is what i think he's talking about....you can see how though, with all this talk about stu and robbie etc....

Sandgroper;

welcome to the forum, what part of australia are you from? these South african SOB's out number us, so make sure you hang around for awhile!! 8)

cheers

Croweaters.. ;D , I like that. Don't most Aussies live in the South? ;D

I thought his name would have given that one away! A "Sand Groper" is the name we give to people from WA.

Well in Brisbane we call all the south aussies mexicans coz they're south of the border!<br />Even though I'm a mexican in Brisbane myself!
