I am looking for a source of parts for a Sturmey Archer S3C hub. I have tried Sheldon Brown's site and Harris Cyclery, to no avail. The part I need, the pins that hold the planet gears, are different from the AW, the most common Sturmey 3 speed. Can anyone help?

I have also tried Amazon and every web search I could think of.

I guess that I would try to e-mail one or more of the following for to see if they might have any insight:

Thanks but they were no help. I need the planet pinion pin, and it is different from the AW. I think I will retire the hub. Thank you.

Have you tried contacting Harris on the phone? They have a lot of stuff in that store that's not on the website (so, if you don't call, you'll never know). Additionally, they have a great crew there that will go to great lengths to help you solve problems. If nothing else, they may be able to point you at another source.

So it's 8 years later, I realize this might not be of any help, but the parts you're looking for are the HSA469 pawl springs that are specific to the S3C hub. I just purchased 6 from biketoolsetc.com. Just enter HSA469 in their search box and it'll come up.

The AW pawl springs are part number HSA120. The HSA469 springs are longer and more defined of a circular area than the pawl springs for the Sturmey-Archer AW.

I hope this might help you.

    Regards,
    James
