I have been using a spreadsheet that has been made for me, but I just don't get enough info from Garmin Connect. So I am between getting a training peaks membership or WKO. The membership is a bit less expensive, but I will have the software forever vs renewing every year. Are there any features I am really going to miss out on by not doing the membership?

I have WKO+. I bought it instead of the training peaks membership because I generally prefer desktop apps to web apps. Web apps tend to have klunky user interfaces and unreliable performance. With that said, WKO+ has a very klunky user interface. Hah! It sounds like they realize this are are going to improve things next release:

I have not done a feature by feature comparison of WKO+ and the online app, but a casual observation is that the feature set is not exactly the same. For example, the online app has a map but WKO+ does not.

Oh thanks. I was going to mention Golden Cheetah but forgot. You can't beat the price but I found the user interface to be even more klunky that WKO+'s. It's other advantage is that the source code is available so you can modify if you are so inclined. I might use it if I didn't already have WKO+. -
WKO+ allows me to set up the data how I want to see it. Version 4.0 is being developed as we speak.
I'm hoping fatigue profiling is added to the mix.
