I am really curious who else has traditions (habits GOOD and BAD) during training, before a race and so on...

My particular habits are fairly `normal`...at least I think so...
#1 Breakfast before a race is always Whole wheat toast with peanut butter and raisins (CANNOT go a day without my peanut butter)
#2 ALWAYS eat salad with chopsticks (okay so I live in Japan and perhaps I have greater dexterity due to all my `practice`..but I swear, try it once and you will never go back...)
#3 Before a race I always have to clip/unclip from both sides (I guess security to make sure I can bail if I need to?)
#4 Listen to AC/DC `shook me all night long` before a race...because I am a badass at heart.

Please share so that we can all be a little more secure in our neurotic ways....

4 waffles with real maple syrup does it for me.

"I love the smell of maple syrup in the mornings. It smells
like... victory."

Hmmm. It seems to lack a certain something. Maybe it's just
me.

Pre-ride breakfast is always mass quantities of Rice
Krispies with whole milk.

My most neurotic way, though, is the excessive amount of
stuff I bring with me. So many people ride with one or two
water bottles and a bag under their saddle. I add to that
list a camelbak full of water and all kinds of stuff...I've
ordered a rear rack to put it on so I don't have to carry it
on my back anymore.
