    I should have explained more. The recipe for glazed pearl onions , using the small jars from the
    Supermarket were pickled. Making a sweet sour dish. Very good with a lot of meats. Thanks again

    Any clue what the glaze was? A balsamic reduction to the syrup state may work for ya.

    ok... at least what color was it? ;-)

    I've never used the jarred onions that you mention, are they a sweet or sour pickle?
