  1. Hey,

    First time, long time.....

I have a set of Time RXS pedals that I got last year. They're a great pedal, but recently, the left one started to make a clicking noise every time my pedal stroke came over the top. At first I thought it was a BB issue, but I threw on another set and the noise was gone.

Anyway, I've searched around and can't find any information on servicing Time pedals. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    -Erik

    It could be your cleats.

If they are interchangeable (I presume they are), then put the cleat that is currently on your left shoe onto your right shoe, and vice-versa.

If the click moves over to the OTHER pedal, then you know that you probably need new cleats.

  3. I've never heard of a pedal making a clicking noise. I agree with alfeng, basically just try some different things to see if it keeps doing it. Like alfeng said, it might be your cleats if you've had those cleats for a couple years. Your cleats may need replacing. Try a different set of shoes, if you have another pair. I would assume it's not the threading of the pedal? It wouldn't be a lubrication issue would it?

  4. my right Dura Ace pedal makes a clicking noise, but not when I am on the bike, only when I spin the pedal off the bike. Need to service it.

  5. It is definitely the pedal. I just brought it to my LBS and guess what...he said the easiest way to deal with this is for me to bring the other pedal in and he'll replace them with a brand new set...no questions asked. I didn't even purchase it from them.

Good for me, but I'd still like to know if there's a service manual for Time RXS pedals. anyone???

    -Erik
