  1. I'm always amazed as i read through these threads of how no matter what the subject matter, from food/drink to watts/power to race/coach, of how they all come arond to being "My daddy can beat up your daddy" [censored]. People hate Lance, people love Lance. America is better, Europe is better. Unfortunately, no matter who is on the rode in France will not change what's in your hearts. Sore losers is all this is. Americans or not. I enjoy cycling, especially TDF, it's my Christmas, Super Bowl, and Birthday(literally-July 6th) all in one. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing a rider whom i don't even know sprint out and fly to the finish no matter if he's english or from some country near the moon! Rivals are great, but do you ever see LA/JU arguing about who gets to lead out or who is doping more? Think not. Let's please for the sake of others coming to this forum welcome each other, be respectful, and keep our dignity as we enjoy the greatest show on earth. Thanks for the vent, over and out for now.--Jitmo

P.S. Congrats and thanks to all who did their best today. (Lance, Valverde, Ras, and Mancebo)

    Word.
For various reasons I am a HUGE fan of Vino, Dekker, O'Grady, Popovych, Armstrong, Ekimov, Hincapie, Voigt, Ullrich, Honchar, and many others...
I am new to these boards, but have posted on other cycling boards for years. Maybe it's the Tour time but there seems to be a lot more negativity here than on most others. I don't see how being in awe of a performance by Armstrong, or Rasmussen or Voigt should make a poster a target for negative name-calling of the type I see here. I am guilty of gloating today since some of the predictions of the people being previously ridiculed for their posts came true, and made fools of certain self-proclaimed gurus of cycling, but I will try to take a higher road in the future, even if provoked again.

We are all cyclists and we are all cycling fans and we can enjoy the race for what it is without too much negativity, or at least I hope so. And if anyone disagrees with me, they can shove it up... Just kidding! 🙂 Peace.
