Hey all im quite new to the scene just wondering if anyone knows of any forums, blogs or websites that can help me get in contact with events around the city..

I ride a fixie when I'm back home in Perth, and have done so since 1996. It's a good place for it, with bugger-all (mandatory) hills.

I ride with the club I race with (road and track), but it's nothing to do with fixies (I just ride that because I enjoy it). I don't know about any 'scene', but there are certainly more fixies and singlespeeds out on the road now.
