If anyone's interested here are a few snaps of my recently completed
four-season bike. If the chain looks slack, or the bike looks fuzzy,
that's because I'm neither a great mechanic or into cameras
http://picasaweb.google.com/DSmith1974/PompinoFixie
It started out life as a humble Langster, but then most of the moving
parts got upgraded for one reason or another. In the end, the frame
just couldn't cut it for the winter months (no room for sensible tyres
or fenders) so it was out with the red ally and in with the black
steel. It'll take up to 35mm tyres now and should keep the rider a
good deal drier.
It's also a good deal heavier which slows the commute down a bit -
can't have it both ways!
Thanks,
Duncan
