I'd think so. From what I've seen of Japanese pickle presses,
you'll have to poke holes in the bottom.Cheese presses are pretty simple. You need something that will
apply uniform pressure, and you need to have a way for the liquid
to escape through the bottom of the container. I use cans with
both lids removed. Load them with the curds, place the lid on top,
and weigh them down.--

with no risk of cracking the plastic (which
