I saw this article:

http://www.teamroadmeister.com/

about two guys who tried to race a schwinn. the website kind of dies out and doesnt mention anything about how they fared, which makes me think it didnt work out. Anyone have any more info about this?

I loved their in your face attitude.

The Results for the time trial are up and it looks like Team Roadmeister came in 40th out of about 49. Not a compelling argument for the $53 bike.

No, the rider beat 9 people. The bike didn't beat anyone. If hadn't been for the rider onboard, the bike likely would have fallen over and gone nowhere.

I just like the idea of cyclists thumbing their noses at the self-important sport of cycling. The vast majority of bikes sold will never see a time trial and the vast majority of riders will never ride a century. Yet there's an undercurrent in cycling culture that all those people on all those bikes are fakers, and that youre only a real cyclist if you ride in a peleton and sweat gatorade.

A good comaprison is chess. Millions of people play it; only a handful of people compete internationally. But, you dont see Kasparov walking through the park knocking over other games and shouting, "Get out of my way."
